Beginner Belly Dance/Technique

Thursdays 6:30-7:30p

Welcome to the dance! If you are new to belly dance or just want to polish your technique, this is the class for you. Zattana will be covering belly dance basics with an emphasis on correct technique and individual feedback. Students may also be given the opportunity to experiment with the use of finger cymbals, veil, and other props.  This class will delve into the rich cultural, musical, and linguistic world of Middle Eastern dance while providing students with the skills necessary to explore this beautiful  art form in a safe and fun environment. 

This class is on-going. Drop-ins are welcome any time and this class is appropriate for all levels.

Intermediate/Advanced Belly Dance

Thursdays 7:45-8:45p

Ready for a challenge? In this class, Zattana will be building on the fundamentals covered in her Beginner Belly Dance/Technique class to help dancers improve their stage presence and performance skills, while introducing new concepts and advanced layering. Students will learn intermediate to advanced level choreography and prop-work.  Zattana will continue to provide students with individual feedback to encourage their growth and may provide performance opportunities for interested students. 

This class is on-going. Students must have Instructor permission to attend due to advanced level concepts and choreography.

Need help with solo or troupe choreography? Zattana is an award-winning choreographer!

Interested in working with props? Zattana will teach you tips and tricks for sword, Isis wings, fanveils, zills, and veil.

Need help with costuming or makeup? Zattana is an expert makeup artist and costume designer. She can help you design your own costume, can design one for you, or can tailor your costumes to fit you perfectly. Makeup and costuming makes for a fun workshop topic!
